据了解，在这个领域内，有许多人不仅没有真正的海外经历，也没有购买过真品，而是通过虚构故事和假货图片来骗取消费者的信任。记者采访到了一些业内专家，他们指出，“这样的情况在‘代购’圈子里并不罕见，只不过这次被抓到的是一个不够细致的骗子。”
案件中，一位名叫阿芳的女大学生在网上遇到了一个自称“英国留学生”的网络骗子，并且被其哄抬成交金额近万元。在之后的一段时间里，阿芳又转账给对方超过十几万元，以便购买各种奢侈品。但当她发现自己可能受到了欺骗后，她报警求助。
民警经过一系列调查，最终揭开了犯罪嫌疑人的真面目——陈某并非有海外学习背景，更未曾踏足英国。原来，陈某只是个普通市民，在一次偶然机会下帮助朋友卖掉了一件奢侈品包，从而赚取2000元差价。这让她产生了赚钱的想法，便开始冒充“英国留学生”，宣称自己是专业从事海外代购业务。
陈某通过低价出售真品来吸引顾客，然后再收集他们的资金用于其他交易。她声称 herself as "a British student who specializes in overseas shopping" and claimed that she could purchase goods at a lower price due to her location. However, the truth was far from it.
The case highlights the prevalence of fake online shopping platforms and scammers who pose as “overseas buyers” or “students living abroad”. These individuals often use stolen images of products, fake receipts, and fabricated stories to deceive consumers. They may also sell counterfeit goods or use money laundering techniques to cover their tracks.
